AgentLayer provides a staking mechanism for holders of $AGENT tokens. By staking $AGENT tokens, users can obtain substantial returns based on factors such as the amount staked and staking duration. Staking is divided into different operation methods before and after TGE. Rewards are distributed based on proportional weights and there are clear calculation formulas. - What is $AGENT staking?
$AGENT staking is a mechanism provided by AgentLayer for holders of $AGENT tokens. Participants can obtain rewards by staking $AGENT tokens and (optionally) APGN Yields. The rewards are related to factors such as the amount of $AGENT staked, staking duration, and APGN gain coefficient. The minimum amount required for staking is 10 $AGENT.
2. What are the differences between staking before and after TGE?
Before TGE, APGN users can stake the earnings generated by the nodes. Wallet tokens cannot be staked. The minimum staking period is 1 month and withdrawal is not involved. After TGE, only wallet tokens can be staked. The staking period can be 1, 3, or 6 months. When staking, the user needs to confirm the transaction in a wallet such as MetaMask. After the staking period ends and the vesting period passes, withdrawal is possible.
3. How to stake before TGE?
Before TGE, APGN users can stake as follows: click Staking on the official website, select APGN Yields as the staking source. If the user has an APGN node, the number of stakable tokens corresponding to the node and the number of tokens already staked by the user will be displayed. Select the node to be staked in the staking input box, select the staking period (1, 3, or 6 months), and the corresponding dynamic APR will be displayed. Finally, click Stake to perform staking. Before TGE, wallet tokens cannot be staked. As the minimum staking period is 1 month, withdrawal is not involved.
4. How to stake after TGE?
After TGE, only wallet tokens can be staked. Click Staking on the official website. The Stake page will display the number of tokens that can be staked in the currently connected wallet and the number of tokens already staked. Enter the amount of tokens to be staked in the staking input box, select the staking period (1, 3, or 6 months), and the corresponding dynamic APR will be displayed. Click Stake to perform staking. At this time, the user needs to confirm the transaction in a wallet such as MetaMask.
5. When do $AGENT staking epochs start and end?
Before TGE, it starts when the staking operation is performed and ends at the selected staking period. After TGE, it also starts when the staking operation is performed and ends according to the selected 1, 3, or 6 months.
6. When does my stake end, and when can I withdraw my staked tokens?
Before TGE, after the staking period ends, withdrawal is not involved as the minimum staking period is 1 month. After TGE, after the staking period ends and a 3-day vesting period passes, the staked tokens and rewards can be withdrawn.
7. How are rewards distributed?
Rewards are distributed based on the proportional weight of each staking user in the system. Daily earnings = (individual staking weight / total staking weight) × daily reward pool. The daily reward pool is 10,000 $AGENT distributed to staking users every day within two years.
8. When can I claim rewards?
After TGE, the earnings can be viewed on the dashboard as early as the next day (T+1) after staking. Rewards can be withdrawn after the vesting period ends. Withdrawals can be processed immediately.
9. How do the amount and duration of staking affect rewards?
The more tokens staked and the longer the staking duration, the higher the staking weight and thus the higher the reward ratio. At the same time, as the staking duration increases, the staking duration gain coefficient also increases, further increasing the earnings.
10. How does reward calculation work in practice?
First, calculate the individual staking weight. Weight = number of staked $AGENT × staking duration gain coefficient × (1 + APGN gain coefficient). Then, calculate the daily earnings according to the daily earnings formula: daily earnings = (individual staking weight / total staking weight) × daily reward pool.
11. How can I increase my reward power to receive more weekly rewards?
You can increase the staking weight by increasing the amount of $AGENT staked, extending the staking duration, and staking APGN Yields to increase reward power.
12. How is the staking duration gain coefficient determined?
It is determined by dividing the total staking months by 6. Different gain coefficients correspond to different staking duration intervals. For example, for staking from 0 months to less than 6 months, the staking duration gain = 6; for staking from 6 months to less than 12 months, the staking duration gain = 7, etc.
13. How long is the earnings vesting period?
The earnings vesting period is 3 days. After the staking period ends, the earnings enter a 3-day vesting period stage. Rewards can be withdrawn after the vesting period ends.
14. Does staking take effect immediately? When does earnings calculation start?
Staking takes effect immediately, but earnings calculation starts from the next day. For example, if staking is completed today, earnings calculation starts from tomorrow.
15. How can I view staking and earnings records?
Click Staking on the official website and select History. The page will list all staking, withdrawal, and earnings distribution records.
16. Can I change the staking period after staking?
Once the staking pool is started, it will be locked for the selected time and the staking period cannot be changed.
17. If I need funds during the staking period, can I withdraw early?
Early withdrawal is not possible during the lockup period and vesting period. Only after the staking period ends and the vesting period passes can $AGENT and APGN nodes be redeemed and rewards claimed.
18. Can the staked $AGENT tokens be used for other transactions during the staking period?
During the staking period, the $AGENT tokens are locked and cannot be used for other transactions.
